Amber Oberheim will be our featured speaker this year. She is the widow of Champaign Police Officer Chris Oberheim. Amber’s strong faith allows her to move forward with her God-serving mission in honor of her husband. She is also the President and Founder of Peacemaker Project 703 that advocates for law enforcement officers in various ways across the country.

Chris Oberheim Memorial Softball Game

Make plans to attend the Chris Oberheim Memorial Softball game on September 17th at the Danville Stadium. This evening will feature a three game slow-pitch softball series between members of the Danville Police Department, the Champaign Police Department and the Decatur Police Department.

This free community event is a family friendly charity experience and opportunity for the community to gather in support of a great cause.

9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Head out to the Hampton Inn in Mt. Zion as they honor those who lost their lives and those who have been impacted by the events of 9/11/2001. They will host a Memorial Stair climb and have the largest flag in Macon County flying that day. Bring your family out to support the climbers and take time to honor all of those who sacrificed so much for so many.
